Splash Bash Weather Update

After carefully monitoring the weather forecast and considering the expected conditions for tomorrow evening, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Back to School Splash Bash.
This was not an easy decision. We know many of our children and families have been looking forward to a fun evening together. However, the forecast continues to show a significant likelihood of showers and thunderstorms during our event time. While some of the activities could still take place in wet conditions, we believe the overall experience would be greatly impacted, especially for families who would have limited places to stay dry and comfortable.
Our desire is always to provide a safe, enjoyable, and well-planned event that allows families to relax, connect, and have fun together. Based on the forecast, we do not believe tomorrow evening will provide the kind of experience we had hoped to offer.
Waiting until tomorrow to cancel would require the church to incur the full cost of the event, including the inflatables, even if the weather ultimately forced us to cancel. By making this difficult decision today, we are able to avoid almost all of the expenses, including 100% of the inflatable expenses. We believe this is a wise stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to our church while also keeping the best interests of our church families in mind.
Although the Splash Bash has been canceled, we would still love to see you tomorrow evening. We invite you to join us for a hot dog dinner in the Fellowship Center from 5:30–6:15 p.m., followed by our Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study at 6:30 p.m.
Please note: There will be no children activities, student activities, or nursery tomorrow evening.
We are sorry for the unexpected change in plans, and look forward to seeing you soon!
