Parents,

We are so excited for camp this summer, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for our children and volunteers! Thank you for entrusting us with your children for the week. As we gear up for camp, I wanted to share final details so you can plan accordingly.

CHECK IN, DEPARTURE & RETURN TIME

Please bring your child to the Berea First Baptist Church Crosswalk at 12:30pm on Monday, June 15th to prepare for departure. Our check-in time at CentriKid is between 1-4pm.

**Please plan to eat lunch before arriving.**

Our first meal will be that evening at camp.

We will arrive back at BFBC around 11am-12pm on Friday, June 19th. We will send out a message when we depart from camp.

PACKING LIST

PACK IN A STANDARD ROLLING BAG/SUITCASE OR DUFFLE BAG. DO NOT PACK IN A LARGE TUB OR TRUNK.

  • Refer to the packing list provided by CentriKid Camps.
  • Be sure clothing adheres to the CentriKid dress code policy.
  • LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME (first and last)
  • Wear things you are willing to get sweaty in and potentially get dirty. I recommend a change of clothes for the evening (some people like to dress a bit “nicer” for evening worship, but that is not required). I also suggest hoodies or pullovers for services – we will be in air conditioning!
  • Wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes for all camp activities – CROCS DO NOT COUNT. I also suggest shoes that you are willing to get wet or dirty.
  • Linens for your bed (twin sheets, pillow, blanket or sleeping bag)
  • Towel(s)
  • Shower caddy
  • Something to wear back and forth to the shower
  • Shower shoes
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Physical Bible (please tell us if your child needs one)
  • Pen/Pencil(s)
  • Notebook
  • Toiletries – shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc
  • Sunscreen
  • Rain jacket
  • Swimsuit
  • Bag for dirty & wet clothes
  • Backpack or sling bag to carry things in around camp

SPENDING MONEY

If you have already ordered a Camper Care Package, group photo(s), or camp store card for your child, please be sure to give the money for that to Terra Jones at drop off. **IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY ORDERED, IT IS NOW TOO LATE.** However, your child may still bring spending money in cash for the camp store and/or snacks. You may choose to allow your child to keep their own spending money. **We cannot be responsible for lost cash.

If you would like a chaperone to be responsible for your child’s spending money, please put it in a sealed envelope labeled with your child’s first and last name and turn it in to Dawn at drop off.

TECHNOLOGY

Children are permitted to bring cell phones; however, they are responsible for the care and security of their devices. IPads, laptops, gaming devices, and other large electronic devices are not permitted at camp. Smart watches are not recommended at camp.

Phones may not be used during any scheduled camp activities. Children who do not follow this policy will be asked to leave their phones in their dorm room during activities. Continued misuse may result in the phone being taken away until the end of camp.

BEHAVIOR

We expect all children to speak and act in a way that honors and glorifies God, while respecting everything and everyone around them. Things to talk to your child about before camp, and things we will reinforce while at camp:

  • Use kind words only. Making fun of others, pranks, bullying, and purposefully excluding others will not be tolerated. Pranks and bullying are specifically on the CentriKid list for immediate dismissal from camp.
  • Obey and show respect to all adult chaperones from our church and the camp’s group leaders (Bible study, church group time, track times, hang time, worship, etc) at all times. There will be lots of time for fun and high energy, but also times for reverent worship and focused time with God.
  • Keep your hands to yourself at all times. Be safe. Rough horseplay will not be tolerated.
  • Stay with your group at all times. Children will be with a specific group for Bible Study and Team Time all week, specific groups for Track Times, and with our church group for worship and Church Group Time.
  • Children may not walk anywhere alone, and a single adult will not be with children alone at any time. There will always be another adult from our group or from the camp staff present.
  • When it is time to be in rooms for the night, children are expected to stay in their rooms at all times, other than bathroom/shower use. Our own church chaperones will monitor this and have rooms throughout the hallway with children’s rooms. Adults will leave their own rooms unlocked when not dressing, so children can come in for any needs at any time. Adults will also keep all children’s room keys. Males and females will be in separate dorms and may not go into any dorm other than their own.

If any child is unable or unwilling to meet these expectations, they will first receive a warning. If the behavior continues, parents will be notified. Continued issues or any actions compromising safety may result in parents being asked to come pick up their camper and take them home.

PAYMENTS

If you have not completed payment or made payment arrangements, please do so before June 14, 2026.
