Berea First Baptist Church

Rev. Dick Herd, Minister of Students, joined the staff at Berea First in August, 2006.  A native of Belton, SC, Dick has a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina-Upstate and a Master of Divinity degree from the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He works with students grade six through college and has 23 years of experience in student ministry.

Dick is married to Amy Davenport Herd, who is the Chief Financial Officer of the Mary Black Foundation in Spartanburg.  They have a three year old daughter, Arina Grace Herd.
