Berea House

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40

In 1998, an adult Sunday School class at Berea First was looking for a place to put their faith into action. They learned of a neighborhood of families that faced many challenges, a neighborhood not being reached by other churches. The class began meeting and ministering to these families and saw the need for a place from which to work. The church purchased and renovated a home in the community and named it The Berea House.

Though the Berea House is still led by the same mission-minded class who began it, the ministry has now grown to involve other classes and church members. The Berea House offers tutoring for school-aged children, recreation events, worship opportunities and community-wide parties at Easter and Christmas. Lives are being changed as our church family shares love at the Berea House. If you would like to join this mission effort, contact the church office for more information
