Michael Hodge joined the staff as an Associate Pastor and Interim Student Minister in June 2010 following the return of his family from the mission field. Michael, Amanda, and their children were appointed in November of 2008 as International Mission Board missionaries to Argentina, but Amanda's unforseen health needs required their return to the States in March 2010.

Michael currently leads our student ministry during our interim time of searching for our next full-time student minister, as well as assists us in visitation and promotional needs.

Michael grew up at Berea First Baptist and has been blessed to once again serve at his home church during this interim time for the church and for his family.

In 2002, Michael graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Christian Education. Besides his work with the International Mission Board, he has also served here in the Upstate as an Associate Pastor in a church in the Landrum area.
